Guy Rochez is appointed as a Mayor’s Design Advocate.

The Good Growth by Design program is tackling the challenges facing London, from significant housing shortages and spatial inequality through to climate responsiveness and biodiversity. The MDAs are a group of 53 build-environment experts, bringing their professional and lived experience to help shape London’s neighbourhoods. The Good Growth programme reflects TOWN’s ethos that development should be grounded by strong social, environmental and commercial principles that can genuinely improve lives, support the environment and enhance places.

As an MDA, Guy will provide strategic advice to the Greater London Authority (GLA), helping shape development projects and policies, championing design, sustainability and inclusion. Guy is a Londoner and has worked in different capacities across the capital to help realise better outcomes for the diverse places and communities that make the city, most recently as a Director of Wards Corner. Guy is particularly enthusiastic about how stewardship and participation can be better embedded in new developments across London such that they will thrive for generations to come.
